History

Cabbage has a long history in European folk medicine, used as a healing leaf for burns, swelling, and inflammation. Ancient Greeks and Romans documented cabbage poultices for skin irritation and wound care. In Eastern Europe, softened cabbage leaves were applied to calm redness after harsh weather exposure. Its reputation as a “healing leaf” made it a household staple for skin repair long before modern skincare existed.

This cabbage sheet mask is a gentle, restorative ritual — perfect for days when your skin needs comfort, calm, and a return to balance.
