History
Glow bowls like this are rooted in the Mediterranean tradition of ladera — vegetable‑forward dishes cooked in olive oil with bright citrus and herbs. Leeks were historically used in Winter for sweetness and gut‑supportive fibre, while chickpeas provided affordable protein across Greece and the Levant. The combination of leeks, chickpeas, lemon, and olive oil reflects centuries of beauty‑nutrition cooking: dishes designed to nourish the skin, support digestion and provide steady energy.
